I haven’t been posting much for the past couple of days because I’ve been working on this story. I think I’m finally getting over my post-college overload on writing. I do have to give props to Kurt, Alexandra’s betrothed, for igniting my desire to get writing again. On Saturday, we had a little get-together at Roasting Plant and swapped stories and ideas over incredibly fresh coffee.
I think it’ll be ready for primetime during the next reading. I also want to start a sequel to my ’103′ story. It’s been a very long time (two years!), but I ended up seeing Jon again. He, Jason, and I went to see Crash (1996) at the Museum of the Moving Image. I forgot how intensely disturbing that film is, but it felt like a coup to actually see it on the big screen.
Afterwards, we went back downtown and had a great time hanging out at Kurt’s tea shop.
Tonight was also quite fun. It’s sort of a tradition now to go for $6 mussels at The Bourgeois Pig. This time one of Alexandra and Michael’s coworkers came along, who was surprisingly fun. She ended up walking to Union Square with me and taking the NQR uptown. We were having fun making up comical ways for her to break up with her boyfriend, who she’s totally done with.
I made a mistake in having two Americanos at midnight. My sleep schedule is totally messed up.
